Introducing Lil Sister

Lena Kate loves her new baby sister! Ainslee Lane Bowen was born 6/23/11 at 11:49 am weighing 7 lbs and 11 oz and measuring 20 3/4 inches. This is one day before she was scheduled, I guess she wanted to pick her own birthday. The longer birth story will have to wait a few days. I just wanted to give yall a sneak peak since we have been without our computer for a few days. We think we have the most beautiful girls in the world, but we are a but biased!

We are all doing great and enjoying God's newest gift in our lives!

Singing Career???

Lena Kate loves to sing these days. I'm not keeping my hopes up for the next American Idol, but she sure is cute, in my opinion:) Her favorites are Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, Jesus Loves Me, ABC's, and a few others.

Each night we sing before bed...I guess her skills, or lack-there-of came straight from me. We also say our prayers after singing. After our "regular" prayers, I always ask her what else she wants to pray for and it never fails to amuse me. Some of her favorites are vacation, new boots, Juli, Justin, Blaine, and Tyler, and sister Ainslee. She starts off with a strong "Dear God," and then says thank you for my family and help me be a good girl like Jesus. In this video you will see her singing to the shells and saying prayers (and getting distracted by the tv). This was on our vacation and I was afraid I'd never get her performing on video. She usually stops when I pull out the camera.
