One Year Old!

Dearest Ainslee Sugar Bear Bug,
I can't believe you are ONE year old already, although it does seem like forever ago that you were a tiny baby.  Now you are a tiny toddler:)  You weighed in at 15lbs and 15 ozs and measured 29.5 inches.  You are in the 0% and 76% respectively.  You doctor seems worried about your lack of weight gain, but I think you are fine, just have your Daddy's "tiny tot" genes.  I'm going to try to fatten you up these next few weeks.  You fit perfectly in 9 month outfits and some 12 months outfits, a size 3 diaper and size 3 shoe.

You are a little stinker, and I love you for it.  You are silly and will throw your head back and grin that toothless grin.  Yes, toothless at 12 months.  Looks like they will all come in together.  I hope you are a good teether!  Standing on your ride-on toys and chairs is so fun for you and scary for Mommy.  You must stop that, stinker.  Carrying around a small board book or mini Disney princess doll is normal for you.  You also really like baby dolls.  You will love and hug and kiss them. Oh so cute.  I think you may watch the dog and cat a little too much since you will lean your head down to get a bite on occasion.  Missy is very patient with you and lets you pet on here often.  Kissing her is often included in your routine.

Waving good-bye and night-night to sister brings a grin.  You jabber but don't say much more than Dada for both Daddy and doggie and mama gets thrown in there every now and then.  You will dance by bouncing up and down. So cute!  Big sister has taught you how to spin on one foot and walk in a circle so quickly that you get dizzy an fall.  Speaking of Lena Kate.  You adore her, and her you.  Y'all are best of friends and I hope that stays that way forever.  You will chase her, almost running through the house.  Clapping and pat-a-cake are fun games you play.

I LOVE this age, you are just learning so much and really starting to comprehend.  You shake your head no and nod yes.  If  I am trying to give you a bite and you are not ready you just shake that little head of yours.  You will also answer if you to eat or have some milk.  As for eating. you like to snack and love yogurt, cheese puffs, and yogurt bites.  You have my sweet tooth and I'm secretly excited.  That means I can bake for you since your sister and father are just fine without.  You let it be known when you want something and will show your temper if you are not happy.  When I am working in the kitchen are you are tired  you force yourself between the cabinet and myself and then lay your head at my feet.  It is probably a good thing you are our last child because you don't like to share Mommy with sister and will force your way in if I am holding LK, usually adding your favorite whine.  I have spoiled you and continue to rock/hold you to sleep and I'm sure I'll regret it when you are in a big girl bed, but for now I love to rock my baby.  You are happy staying with Mimi but not-so-much anybody else.  I hope you grow out of that soon.

What a joy and blessing you are to us.  You have completed our family and I love how different you are from your sister. You have your own personality and hold your own in a room full of people.  I thank God for my baby girl everyday and pray that I follow his will in teaching you how to grow up a Christian girl.

Happy first birthday Ainslee!  We love you with all our hearts!

Summer fun

We have just been hanging around lately, little to report on the home front. Swimming at Mimi and Papa's is big fun for both girls but we've taken a hiatus this week due to summer colds. I get so tires of snot running out of my girls' noses!

Lena Kate is a challenge these days and sometimes acts like she has never been disciplined or in public. Wears me out I tell ya! She can also be a tad bit whiny if ya catch my drift. Other than these issues, she can be so sweet and fun. She is obsessed with counting everything. She also likes to take FOREVER to eat a meal, yet is always hungry and thirsty:). Lena Kate continues to be a great big sister and Ainslee loves her! Everyday Lena Kate asks me,"of I take a good nap, can I have a Popsicle?". Usually the answer is yes:). We are all looking forward to swimming lessons in a couple of weeks. She melts my heart by telling me she loves me at random moments and cracks me up with her imaginary friends from Disney "juna" or Junior for us relatively normal speaking folks. She has recently decided she is Mama's girl and not Papa's-score one for me!

Ainslee is so fun these days. She is all over the place. Clapping is her new thing and has added nana (banana) and dads to her vocabulary. She likes to say Dadaaa with such authority, oh the cuteness. She growls at Daddy and animals and loves dogs like her sister. She won't leave a bow or clip in her hair so often she looks like a ragamuffin boy:). I am also willing to bet she will be toothless on her first birthday which is great for a mommy about to cut off nursing.

And finally I got a mommy wagon! I love my new suburban and am looking forward to our summer road trips in a bigger vehicle.

Here are some phones pics of our fun.
