Cowgirl Up! Livestock Show

Relaxing at Mimi and Papas and showing them my cowgirl outfit.

Last week I took Lena Kate over the the San Patricio County Live Stock Show to see all the animals. I showed lambs growning up and I just knew it would bring back many fond memories. What I didn't expect was for it to look completely different! They have all new barns and show arenas. It was very nice...but just didn't have the same old feel. It was kinda sad. I'm sure there may have been just as many animals but they are all in the same barn now so it seemed smaller. This was nice for showing them all to Lena Kate. We just went from one animal group to the other. She was a fan of the cows, sheep, goats, and rabbits. She wasn't really sure what to think of the pigs and poultry.

Lena Kate and Chloe Mengers. Chloe was the show queen this year and a proud representative of Mathis!!! She was so cute. Back in the day I was the 1st Runner up in the Queen's contest. Apparently I lost by 1/2 a point....ugh. Oh well :)

Check out my new purse Mama got me. It has my name on it.

This is as close as I want to get to those things. Pigs are huge:)

Hey goat

Watch out Mama, those pigs might get us!

Soft rabbit

Lost a boot, uh oh. Help Mama.

These are the new stands...nice. The other side had all the people. LK liked playing on the empty side. Look at that tiny hiney. She needs a cowgirl belt, I think.

Look Mama, why are they holding those turkeys upside down?

We had tons of fun and I can't wait to take her to one of the other shows in the area in the next couple of weeks.
I have lots to post this week after a busy weekend of visiting, but I'm going to break it up of a few days to keep you coming back :)

She definitely needs a cute little belt, that would just make the whole outfit! ;)
I LOVE your shirt, too. Way cute. I can't wait for the weather to nicen up so we can go to the zoo, I know Q would love seeing all the animals!
Can LK get a Valentine card in the mail from Q? He told me he'd like to send her one if she's allowed. Heehee ;) E-mail me your address if so!
