Randomness

Ugh, I wonder what caused this aweful mess.

Here's a hint. (no, she didn't cause it)

It could've been this sweetheat calf (get it?..see the heart), but I bet it was her mommy...or Buddy the horse!
Now that my sad attempt at country living humor is over, I'll move on to more randomness.
It has been a wonderful week here in South Texas. Lena Kate and I have spent the last two glorious afternoons playing outside. It is such a blessing that we were able to be here for the start of Spring. The flowers are blooming, and bluebonnets are coming up. I can't wait to take Lena Kate's picture in a cute outfit playing in the bluebonnets. This morning I went to pick up her sand table I ordered for her and got it all set up. After her nap she got to play in it. Let's just say it is a good thing I bought 2 extra bags of sand and that sand is not expensive. She enjoying getting a fistful and carrying it somewhere just to drop it and go back for more. Oh well, she is learning and having lots of fun. She also carried it around in her bucket on her arm like a purse as well as just playing around in it. She is such a little smartypants. I love having my little sidekick with me always. She is my best friend and tons of fun. We are going to make so many fabulous memories this summer, I can just picture them now. It'll be nice when Lane is not working so many hours and he can play with us after he gets home from work.
I'm working on getting Lena Kate to listen to me and understand...I think she understands but doesn't always do as I say:)
It is a good thing I've got her several Spring play outfits. It looks like the long sleeves are about to go bye-bye down here for the most part...yippppeeee. I'm so excited to get back into our walk/jogging routine. I worry a little about the pack of dogs at the neighbors across the way. I think there are about 5, and actually think some of them just hang out there and belong to the other house about a 1/2 mile down. They all came barking at me yesterday before they got yelled at by their owner, but it was friendly barking...if there is such a thing. Next time I pass him on the road I'm going to stop and ask to verify they are friendly. I don't mind the barking if they are ultimately nice....and don't follow me to our house. Missy wouldn't like that, nor would I, she is enough to deal with!

That little calf is cute with the heart on its head! But of course, LK is much more cute. Cracked me up about her sand adventures! Too funny!

I love bluebonnets! I wish we had them in our part of the world.
