A World I Never Knew Existed

I'm sure you are thinking that this was going to be something about being a mother, but it is actually about the blogworld. Near the middle of my pregnancy about a year ago, my good friend Roni urged me to start a blog. I was following hers...and that is about it. Not until I started my own and had a little more time on my hands..surprisingly!...did I discover the wonderful world of the blogging community. I guess I should start with a thanks to you, Mrs. Roni. I started my blog to let friends and family have a glimpse into the Wonderful World of Lena Kate. In doing so I found there are several "wonderful worlds" out there. I love snapping pics of my angel baby and, of course, I love to share them, but I got more than I bargained for when I got curious and starting lurking around other's links. I was surprised and overwhelmed by the vastly Christian group of women bloggers and how supportive they are of each other. It was so refreshing as I dug deeper into this new world. I feel as though God was reminding me how blessed I really am. I am also saddened at the realization of how many good people are hurting due to loss, sickness, and even more saddened by those that find it necessary to leave negative comments on these blogs. Fortunately, the good ALWAYS outnumber the bad. God is good and the power of prayer has definitely made itself known in my blog journey over the past year. There are so many inspiring bloggers with their eyes on the Lord and hearts so dedicated to His will. I can honestly say that these people have touched me and I can't wait for my daily jog through the blog world. This new world is a constant reminder to hug my husband, child, friends and family a little tighter as well as a place to share these wonderful people and what they mean to me. Although I may not disclose all of my deepest feelings here, I do hope to proclaim my love for my family, friends and God.

Tonight I want to thank each of you for reading and I hope to inspire you in some way as I have been inspired...and if not inspire, at least brighten your day. I follow many more blogs than I have listed in my Daily Reads, but if you don't think have stumbled onto your or left you a comment feel free to leave me a comment and let me know where to go and I'd be happy to jump on board.
I'll close with a few more pics of my angel baby Lena Kate on her first trip to the beach. Oh, I'm so thankful God blessed me with such a sweetheart to love and cherish.
For those of you that come for recipes, I know I've promised many and I will update my recipe blog this next week for sure.
And now for those that come for the pics!
Smart girl knew to hold on to her hat so it didn't blow off! I wonder if she will have my freckles one day!?

I love how you can see Lane in the background of this pic...kinda cool shot.
Good night and God bless.
