Lena Kate has found her voice...and it comes by way of crying. Thank goodness it isn't all day long. She really is a good baby, but when her little tummy hurts, she can cry with the best of them. Mommy can usually get her calm pretty quick, but sometimes you just have to wait it out until it she has worked it out.
Today cousins Megan and Bill stopped by for a visit and to meet Lena Kate. She was a good girl and we had a very nice time. Thanks for coming to see us! I'm glad they decided to skip out on a meeting for the cotton conference. Cotton info vs. Lena Kate time - it isn't even a close decision. Can't wait to get to see them again. They've been very good to us and we always enjoy getting to see them. I wish Lane had been here too, but he was "bringing home the bacon."
Aunt Amy and Cousin Charles also came by for a baby fix. Charles doesn't like when LK cries and wants to pat her to make it better. He also enjoyed a bowlful of grapes - yum. That boy can eat some grapes!
Surprise, surprise, I've taken more pics. I'm sure she looks just like she did yesterday, but here are a few more for your viewing pleasure.
Lena was asleep on the couch and Missy crawled up next to her and curled up to have a snooze with Sister. She snuggled as close to LK as she could get without moving her. So sweet. Missy has been a good girl with the baby for sure.
How you could not want to just kiss her?
The "O" Face, also "Monkey" face.
I could stay like this forever-so snuggly. She was awake all morning so we took a nap together this afternoon. Then she decided she wanted another. She is now sleeping again. See a pattern? I hope that this doesn't mean she'll be up all night. She's still working on that schedule. I've never been one for a schedule so I guess she is taking after me. Last night we were up about 1/2 the night, so we are hoping for good long stretches of sleep tonight.
Happy Wednesday, ours was!
