Chewsticks

In our family courtesy of my nephew Charles, pacifiers are known as chewsticks. Bear and Hopper have their chewsticks and Charles as his. Lena Kate has joined Charles and the doggies and decided she likes a chewstick too. The only problem is that she can't quite keep it in her mouth yet. She's working on that. It is nice to be able to keep her content if it isn't quite time to eat yet. This little girl takes after her Momma and doesn't like to miss a meal. I guess I can't blame her. She's also working on tummy time and holding her head up. With those newly chubby cheeks this is quite an accomplishment.

Lane heads back to work tommorow and I know Lena Kate and I will miss him. It has been so nice to have him here these first 2 weeks. He has made some wonderful memories just holding her and keeping her happy. He's even changed a few diapers-not his favorite task, but he's willing. He even put one on backwards...it worked just the same, so not-a-problem. Lane has helped around the house tremendously and even washed my car yesterday. He just can't sit still and relax-lucky for me! I know the best part of our day will be when we hear the garage door open in the evening when Daddy gets home. I need to take some more pics of them together-it is just too cute. I'm very lucky to have him as a husband and father to our daughter. I know she's got him wrapped around her little finger already.

I got a new camera yesterday with Christmas money from Gary and Leslee. I'm very happy with it so far....here are the first pics I took with it. I'll add a video of her tomorrow. I'll try to capture one of her more vocal moments-she's quite the grunter :)Lane and I find it amusing, hopefully you will too. Be sure you have your volume up to enjoy the show. Thanks for the camera "Leelee" and "Grandpa Gary."

These pacifiers are the BEST! The hospital sent us home with a green one just like Lena's. It's so cute that you can stick your finger in the middle and also see their little tongues inside.
