We've had a pretty good week so far. Lena Kate tried cereal for the first time last night. She wasn't a fan. I made it really runny and she made a face, spit it out, and then did everything to keep from swallowing it. It wasn't too bad for a first try though. Hopefully she'll learn to like it soon so she'll remain full at night and sleep longer. I think I got a little down her. She gagged and then swallowed, eventually. Maybe I'll get some pics of that this week. Poor child!

Lena Kate also got a bouncer from Cousin Charles this week. She really likes it and the fun rain forest noises when she bounces. Here are a few pics.
On another note, I've been running and walking every day and am down to my last 5.5 pounds of baby weight! Then just 2 more to win my bet with my old boss. I want that free dinner!...and to fit into my clothes. I'll get there-hopefully sooner rather than later. My ultimate goal would be to lose another 12.5 total. That will be my 9 month goal. I know I can do it.
As for the teething, I think she was just having a bad day on Monday and isn't really teething yet, but she is definitely a drooling queen. I have dug up all the bibs she has and she soaks up several a day. Now I know why outfits come with bibs, I didn't really understand it before since they weren't old enough to eat yet. You may all be going - duh! That's ok, laugh all you want, and get ready for pics with bibs on the babe....hey that would've been a good post title. Maybe I'll use it later in the week....don't be too surprised.
Lena Kate gives me the cutest looks these days. She seems to be saying, "I know I'm cute...hi Mom....I win...HELLO, look at me" Those kind of looks. Here eyes are so expressive. I love them, as well as every other inch of her little self.
